  1. That bridge is named after Francis Scott Key for a reason. He secured the release of a boat load of slaves and sat watching from right there to make sure Ft. McHenry didn't surrender or get taken. He watched that flag all night as it was bombarded not knowing the flag was still standing because it was being held upright by soldiers and dead bodies. That name better not be changed! Enough of this race baiting BS!

  2. It wasn't just about the song. Ppl need to research the real story behind the Anthem, Francis Scott Key and what was happening when he wrote the poem. It was kind of like telling the story as it unfolded. His ship full of slaves he saved, sat right there watching and praying the flag did not fall. It was held up by soldiers and the bodies of those who died defending Baltimore & Maryland from the British. They better not change the name!! I am so sick of these commie lefties trying to destroy this country a little at a time.

  3. Because they don't know the real history of it. If they did, they wouldnt be calling to rename it. That Man, Francis Scott Key, was sitting on that ship with slaves he just secured their release from the British. They knew as long as that flag flew, they would be free. Key gave them a play by play of what was going on. The slaves cheered and prayed the flag would not fall and it didn't.
