  4. @rachelmadrone3168  If you haven't, read our founding documents, including the grievances of the ppl. Government gets their power from the consent of the governed, thats us, the people. They seem to have forgotten how that goes. We have to remind them from time to time. This is OUR country, not the government. Article 4 Section 4 states it clear as day.

  13. @CuttySX455  Thats why we have a census. Ppl comecand go, dyate to State. Its the same as backcthen all based on population. Thats why we have 435 In The House and 100 in the Senate. Once the move west & Statehood movement happened more ppl came and it grew as the population grew. When they were terrirories, each town had a Mayor for local governance. Once Statehood was formed they got governors and representation in Federal Congress. Originally there were only 13 states. The rest were Territories under rule of the Federal Government. Representation is based on population. Thats the reason for electoral College. It makes a level playing field for less populated States to get equal representation.
