  3. @ThomasDavis-e4g  Actually, some ppl put flaps on Dragster pipes for compression purposes. Top fuelers do too but they will spit fire. Shirley Muldowney had flaps on hers. Top Fuel usually run Nitro and the pipes are about eye level. They generally get towed to the lanes and towed back after the chute is deployed. They repack it in the pits or they wait at the end of the track on the return lanes and repack it there before towing back.

  5. @81mont  I ran 8.60 in the car and 7.80 in the dragster. Some dragsters have flaps on the headers, but no mufflers. Mufflers lower compression and slows you down. No thanks. I love loud pipes on a motorcycle too. Loud pipes saves lives.
