So if David’s taxes increased as a result of Medicare for all. Then he got blood work but, does not pay out of pocket. The bill goes to the government. Which they pay with the increased taxes they collected from David. With Medicare for all, he just has less money regardless of getting blood work or not.

There is no such thing as free medical care... just because you don’t pay out of pocket when the service is used, does not mean it does not come out of your income at all.

@Timmy-ib8lt ... every example you just listed of social entities of our society, come with regulation. Yes, a fire department will come and put out a fire. But you can’t build a home however you want. There are electrical codes, general building codes, fire codes. Roads come with traffic laws. Schools require attendance and civil conduct. Every aspect of our socialized society comes with regulation. At what point does socialized medicine require regulation? Regulating diet, exercise and general lifestyles. Instead, what you want, is a fire department in a city with no building codes. That fire department will be busier and cost the tax payer far more.

@GRDwashere ... thank you for your foreign opinion on an entirely domestic issue... so how often do Americans go on an Australian domestic news media YouTube channel, and tell you how to run your healthcare?... how about you worry about healthcare in your country, and we will worry about healthcare in ours... does that seem reasonable and fair?

@GRDwashere ... I have no problem with your opinion. You’re absolutely entitled to it. However, as someone from outside the US, you have no place or purpose in this discussion about a domestic issue.

@nomeca961 ... so the companies that people work for and buy things from?... So you’ll add more overhead expenses, in the form of taxes. Which will decrease their ability to pay workers higher wages. Or they will increase the price of their product, which comes at the cost of the consumer. Either way, we still pay the medical bill. There is no such thing as free healthcare.
