Here's a fact... Colorado Supreme Court: "If review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires on January 4, 2024, then the stay shall remain in place, and the Secretary will continue to be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, until the receipt of any order or mandate from the Supreme Court."

No, they want to include the entire constitution... Including the first sentence of the fifth amendment. Why do you want to cherry pick parts of the constitution for the desired outcome?
2
I guess the first sentence of the fifth amendment isn't part of the constitution. Weird.
2
It happened... it was just a riot.

@donixion4368 What does the first sentence of the fifth amendment say? Can you please quote it for everyone to show you acknowledged it's existence?
1
@cybertoe1221 So what amendment overrides the fifth amendment? Please, do tell.

@miahdavis8331 This is political theater for the sake of news headlines. The moment the SCOTUS appeal is filed, the Colorado ruling is null and void. Even if the Supreme Court has not heard the case by the primaries, Trump will be on the ballot. This whole ruling is just political theater.

@serendipityshopnyc So removing Trump from the ballot for insurrection isn't answering for an infamous crime? You know it is. We all know it is. We all know this is being invoked as a punishment for an action. The precedent being created here is that any judge can decide a candidate committed insurrection and remove them from a ballot. That's a dangerous precedent and absolutely spits in the face of democracy.

@laurendaryani4893 Because, what you're describing is answering for an infamous crime... It's simple stuff. You just don't want to acknowledge this, because it doesn't fit your desired outcome. Regardless, Colorado wrote a stay into their decision. Trump will be on the ballot in Colorado for the primaries. I hope you enjoy the news headlines and political theater. That's all this is.

You mean the police officer that died days later from a preexisting medical condition? No police died. You were lied to. Google is your friend.

Notice how one side allows democracy to occur, then goes to the court when it feels like the rules weren't followed?
1
What indictments was he talking about?
1
@cybertoe1221 Great. Now who was President in 2016 when she was possibly facing indictment, and was that individual her political opponent...? Keep in mind, Trump took office in January of 2017.
1
Yeah, it's really sad that none of David's audience knows what the first sentence of the fifth amendment actually says. Many have probably never even read it once.
1
@cybertoe1221 What does the first sentence of the fifth amendment say? Come on, quote it, don't avoid it.
1
@cjgroves4429 Well, that's exactly what the Democrats did in 2016 after Trump won. Have you already forgotten about the Meuller investigation that spent millions of tax dollars over three years and found zero evidence of collusion?

@jasonrollins8217 Let me guess, you ignorantly think a well regulated militia means government regulation. It does not. A government regulated militia is called a military. Regulation in regards to combat groups means internal organization, such as uniform standards and etc. Your free speech is protected on your cell phone or landline. Verizon won't cancel your service based on your conversations. Communication services are not a governing body for speech. You seem to be lacking basic common sense and forethought.

@bigmike6461 It's not ignoring the 14th, if it's not applicable due to the 5th amendment. Now, what does the first sentence of the fifth amendment say...? Come on, don't avoid it, quote it.
