Why do you want a leader that wins with 35% of the vote, then begins their term with 65% of the population in dissent of their leadership? The two party system is there for a reason, to produce an absolute majority.

  5. I love when people think Prime Ministers are directly elected by a popular vote. They are not, parliament elects them. You people really don't understand the concept of representative democracies, do you?

  6. If ending the electoral college was the right thing to do, then state's would just give their electors to the national popular vote winner and circumvent it's function. But that has not occurred in any state. The ridiculous interstate compact is just about controlling the election, not doing the right thing.
