That’s interesting. Given that MLK, himself, was a republican.

Seriously! People can’t even get water waiting in line now. The fact people even have to wait in line is crazy. They should have some type of threshold for busy locations. When the threshold is met, they split the precinct or add more machines. And in 2020, not every county even had a drop box location. It’s just ridiculous.

@kevinarzola4781 ... Well you already forgot about Robert Byrd...
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... Not a straw man at all. Clearly you have forgot all about Robert Byrd. Or the fact our President eulogized him. They were old colleagues. The democrat party, was the party of segregation. The party of Jim Crow. MLK was not a Democrat.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... Hahahaha. You mean you’re denying history and reality. Enjoy your tribalism.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... Yes. I’m still laughing at your blatant disregard for facts and history, simply to suit a narrative.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... Debate? What debate? I present historical facts. You refuse to acknowledge or even address those facts. And instead, you just cry there is a fallacy in my argument. It’s really quite adorable how you continue to dodge those facts. Sorry your preferred political party is the party of segregation and opposing civil rights.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... MLK is the crown jewel of the civil rights movement. Agreed? Now take Robert Byrd. Who spoke for 13 hours on the senate floor in opposition to the civil rights act. He was a democrat. He continued to serve in the senate as a democrat until his death in 2010 and, our current president eulogized him. Now, do you want to continue to argue that MLK supported the party that filibustered the civil rights act? If so, please present historical facts to support your claim. Instead of ignoring the argument I’m presenting by dodging these historical facts by saying it’s a straw man.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... I’m sorry. You’re right. With all these facts you are presenting. It’s clear now that MLK supported the democrat party that was responsible for the segregation in the Jim Crow south. The democrat party that fought against civil rights. Makes perfect sense. It also makes perfect sense that Joe Biden, the man who sponsored (not just supported) the crime bill responsible for the disproportionate number of people of color incarcerated, really changed a man at the end of his life that was an alleged member of the KKK. Joe Biden, who said Obama was the first articulate black man. Joe Biden, who said poor kids are just a smart as white kids. Sorry your preferred political party has been and still is racist.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... Hahahaha. Party switch. Oh that’s hilarious. While acknowledging Robert Byrd’s existence and tenure in the senate. Just remarkable the mental gymnastics you’re performing.
1
@kevinarzola4781 ... So a democratic senator that was anti civil rights his entire career. Suddenly changed his mind? Seriously? You just swallow that spoon fed confirmation bias whole, don’t you? The use of the battle flag is actually a result of popular culture. You don’t see a lot of pictures of the battle flag in the first half on the 20th century. By the 1970s, you have dukes of hazard and lynard skynard both displaying it as a sign of southern pride. At which point it became a popular icon to represent southern pride. These are people simply using the flag to represent where they came from. It was not about racism. Unfortunately, this doesn’t suit your narrative about a racist south, so it’s likely not something you are familiar with.

Bad time to mention the constitution gave that power to the state legislature a long long time ago?

Section 18 of SB202 creates a threshold where high volume precincts are split or have machines added. Section 26 of SB202, requires every county in GA to have drop boxes. Given that in 2020, not every county did. How are these changes to Georgia’s laws suppression? Or are you just simply parroting a narrative? Try reading the bill for yourself, rather than being told what to think.
1
Aww. Do you miss Robert Byrd being in that seat?
1
@WillowTDog ... Yes. The media berated the public over allow trump to be elected. Makes you wonder how it will go in 2022 and 2024, when there isn’t a bogeyman in the closet.
1
So is it a good thing that these people in rural counties have access to drop box locations? As per Section 26 of SB202. Aka, the bill you hate but didn’t read.
1
@de6212 ... Yup. The beginning of each section tells you what law it addresses. Read through each of those highlights. Then focus on the specific sections people like or hate. Did it all while taking my morning glory. Am I an expert on the bill? Absolutely not. But it’s certainly more reading and free thinking than you’ve given to the issue. You just want to be told what to think.
1
@de6212 ... No. I believe you read the headlines, from whatever BS media source is your favorite. I read the bill. You don’t know what sections you like or hate. You just know what you’ve been told to repeat. And like a good little parrot, you don’t know what you’re saying but you’ll surely repeat it to everyone.
1
Is that what happened to you? I’m sorry.

I can’t believe people can’t get water waiting in line. Or even the fact they have to wait in line. They should have some type of automatic threshold that splits busy precincts or adds more machines. And not every county even had a drop box location in 2020. How is this not mandatory? It’s just ridiculous!
