Good thing the assault weapons ban, Biden referenced in his address, prevented Columbine...

Can you explain a mechanical difference between a semi-automatic shot gun and an Armalite-15?

“Machine gun style weapon”... really goes to show how ignorant the people are that want to regulate. An ArmaLite-15 looks like a military grade weapon. It is not, they are mechanically different. If I put stickers and neon lights on my Honda Civic, is it a race car?
1
@_Sn0_ ... Kind of my point. So we should ban certain types of guns because they look like military weapons? While they have a distinct mechanical difference?
1
@_Sn0_ ... Well. Guns don’t come with magazines. Those are purchased separately. So we are going to “regulate” the sale of certain guns because they look scary? Not based on functionality? And if the desire is to inflict harm, do you think limiting magazine capacity will deter individuals from committing such acts? Or will they just bring more magazines?...
1
@_Sn0_ ... And that already exists... I love how people that have never purchased a firearm talk about how easy it is to purchase one. Colorado, specifically, has all the “common sense regulations”. It’s a blue State.
1
@_Sn0_ ... According to the Gun Control Act (Federal Law), purchasing or possession of a firearm is prohibited when... 18, U.S.C. §922 (g) (1) - Has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year (excludes state misdemeanors where the person may have received a sentence for up to two years) Colorado state law extends these restrictions to anyone convicted of a felony. I’m not a lawyer but, I don’t know any “violent” crimes that are not a felony.

The routine, that he admitted in his following special, that was comprised of made up facts for the sake of comedy?
1
@larryhoover2541 ... Don’t hate me because you hate the facts.
1
@holdyourplums4204 ... Indeed it is comedy. Maybe we should keep it out of our political decisions. Or would you only like to reference it when it suits your argument?
1
@killzekat ... You’re right. The best arguments involve only partially lying.
1
@killzekat ... Yeah. I love when he makes fun of needing a “good guy with a gun”. Sooo, what do you call the police that arrested the suspect? Were they good guys with guns? Seems like it.
1
We already have this. People who violate the initial trust of the government, granted by presumption of innocence, are convicted in a criminal court. They are incarcerated and, they do not have access to guns.
1
@larryhoover2541 ... Then we should outlaw drinking because some people might drink and drive? Or should we outlaw freedom of speech, because of what someone might say to incite a mob? Presumption of innocence is the foundation of liberty and freedom. Our entire system of justice is built on the idea you are a trusted citizen until proven otherwise.

And isn’t it amazing. For 245 years, this hasn’t been an issue until 25 years ago. But yes. Let’s keep blaming the inanimate objects that have been around the entire 245 years...
1
@Brozius2512 ... China restricts these weapons. Yet I remember a certain historical massacre at Tiananmen Square. Regulation and restriction doesn’t prevent tragedy, it’s just dictates who commits it.
1
@Brozius2512 ... Sooo. How was your country about 80 years ago? Back when you needed a bunch of yanks with guns to come bail you out...
1
@Brozius2512 ... You’re right. I totally forgot the US was not involved in the allied invasion of mainland Europe (Operation Overlord)... And apparently, they were not involved Operation Market Garden either? It’s amazing how Citizens of my country, sacrificed their life for your country, on your country’s soil. Yet, you completely ignore their action and involvement for the sake of tribalism in a political argument? Visit the cemetery in Margraten sometime, you can see how many American soldiers didn’t get to come home so your country could be free.

“Suspect loves his life not so much his victims” Yes? Is this not the case for the majority of people that commit murder?
1
@realtimebiblicalinterpreta6972 ... So no one ever faces trial for murder? Keyword to pay attention to in my comment is “majority”. But it’s ok, reading is hard. There are a lot of words and, they all mean something different.
