Nah, history books don’t pass judgement. People pass judgement but, people don’t read history books anymore. Hence, why this political theater is occurring in the first place.
21
Exactly, their minds are made up. We all know Trump will be acquitted. This is just political theater and a giant waste of time.
6
So if the Dems already know they won’t have enough to convict. Can we at least be honest and realize this is a giant waste of time. And when the government waste time, they waste our money...
4
Yeah. You’re right. How dare they, after the Dems treated Trump for four years with decency and respect...
2
Why? We all know your version of unity means “fall in line”...
1
Hahahaha. Don’t reference that document now. The Dems have successfully wiped their asses with it and, now you pretend to care about it.
1
Probably because they are intelligent enough to understand Jan. 6th wasn’t a game of king of the hill. The power of the government doesn’t rest solely inside this one building. It’s not 1850...
1
What do you expect after four years of screaming for impeachment at every turn? Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf?
1
Yes. They should really do anything that can possibly get you what you want.
1
Burned out buildings, dead bodies across American cities. It really does look like a 3rd world country. Oh wait... sorry, thought you were talking about BLM’s summer of peace.
1
You’re so right. This giant waste of time and money is definitely not the Dems fault for moving forward, while knowing acquittal is inevitable. Personally, I love spending time doing things that have no possibility of giving me the desired outcome. It’s actually what most sane and rational people do.
1
I’m sure people said that during the impeachment’s of Blount and Belknap. And any other impeachment’s in history you’re learning about for the first time this week...
1
Megaterrorist... hahaha. Oh I love the rhetoric. So what do you call the events over the summer, with more deaths and violence? Oh yeah... mostly peaceful protest.
1
@Mozart1220 ... I guess burning buildings and multiple deaths across the country all summer long is obeying the law.
1
@geminirat60 ... yeah. Historically, most insurrections begin by the leader saying “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”....
1
@geminirat60 ... I believe in this country it is innocent until proven guilty. And he was just acquitted. Soooo, not guilty! I’m glad the democrat majority 117th Congress could begin with this giant waste of time. That bodes well for the next two years...
1
@geminirat60 ... Umm... he was acquitted. Here is the definition of acquit for you, since you seem to be struggling with it. acquit /əˈkwit/ verb past tense: acquitted; past participle: acquitted 1. free (someone) from a criminal charge by a verdict of not guilty.
1
@geminirat60 ... the only point that matters is he is, by definition, not guilty.
1
@geminirat60 ... we can go over the definition of acquittal again, if you’d like. You seem to have some confusion with it.
1
@shanehughes8528 ... Hahahaha. This is adorable. When you actually understand and acknowledge the phrase “shall not be infringed”. Then you can convince me you actually care about the constitution. Otherwise, enjoy your selective support for the constitution.
1
@shanehughes8528 ... you’re referring to the establishment clause. Which prevents congress from establishing a state religion/church. Also, I’m assuming you’re referring to Trump’s economic stimulus package that included aid to faith based organizations that are classified as small businesses. There was no specified endorsement of one particular religion. A church and a mosque both qualified. You’ll notice this discrepancy when it was reported by NPR... “A key part of the $2 trillion economic relief legislation enacted last month includes about $350 billion for the Small Business Administration to extend loans to small businesses facing financial difficulties as a result of the coronavirus shutdown orders. Churches and other faith-based organizations, classified as "businesses," qualify for aid under the program, even if they have an exclusively religious orientation.” Tom Gjelten writing for NPR, published April 6, 2020 As far as the imprisonment of the press. It was rhetoric. It was a statement. Not an action. Not a law. Coincidentally, the same amendment protects his right to voice that opinion. There was no unconstitutional action. But keep trying though.

Any other trial wouldn’t have made it this far. Because the Grand Jury, making the decision to prosecute, wouldn’t be made up of Trump’s political opposition like the House is. But at least at this rate, Trump will have more successful presidential campaigns than Dems have convicted impeachments.
1
@steveb796 ... Yes, you missed a key word. I said, “Successful presidential campaign.” But it’s ok, reading is hard...
1
Hahaha. Yes! Just keep removing the people you don’t like. Yay for suppression of political opposition. Next stop, a one party state! You all are brilliant!
1
@Jesse Davis... umm, when has congress ever done their job?...
1
@JustSkram ... Huge difference between being fired by a private business for language and the current majority members of our government attempting to suppress their political opposition, with the use of their political power.
1
Do you expect the supporters of BLM’s “mostly peaceful” summer, to actually care about the country or safety of its citizens? They most certainly do not and only want to suppress the political opposition.
1
And typically a grand jury that decides to prosecute, is not made of the defendants political opposition, like the House is.
1
@alexusbratva878 ... republicans don’t care about democracy. Yet democrats are attempting to convict, solely to prevent Trump from running again. Regardless of, if the people want him to run again. Yes, such a wonderful example of democracy... especially since democracy is typically defined by the suppression of the the political opposition.
1
@unkannyunkanny9232 ... the entire purpose of this dog and pony show, is to prevent him from running again. That’s all. Clearly their is a lack of confidence by the Democratic Party, that they could defeat him in 2024 if he were to run again. He’s already out of office, there is no other purpose to this impeachment other than suppression of political opposition.
