  1. (1) Boomers are dying, I'm on the very young end of boomer and I'm 60, we're getting old. And most of us smoked like chimneys and the older ones of us were hippies and took every drug they could. (2) Life expectancy in the US is going down drastically as capitalism does its thing. More and more poor, and life expectancy if you're homeless is about 35 years less. (3) Gun deaths are now a big factor. (4) Opiates have entered the chat. (5) The above come under that category too but there are all these random "deaths of despair" now. Why did auto accident deaths go up when everyone was in lockdown and the roads were comparatively empty? People are finding all kinds of ways to creatively die these days.
