  1. Very late in 2019/very early in 2020 there was "the coughing thing" plus on the radio I was hearing about the mysterious "vaping disease" where young people were getting pneumonia and dying. In my case, I was coughing for about a month and living on soup, but didn't think that much about it. Covid became "a thing" a month or two later. I believe PBS Frontline talked about a woman in the Pacific Northwest having covid as early as October in 2019.
