@Noone-l6g Champagne bottles are in fact heavy duty. It's because the stuff's under pressure. They're quite a bit more sturdily built than regular wine bottles.

The term "Well-regulated" in the 2nd amendment means "sighted-in and regularly trained" not "regulated" in the modern sense of being controlled by the government. Old shooting manuals will talk about the "regulation of the sights" which means getting the sights zeroed in. Now, in old England, it was standard to require every Englishman to regularly practice with the long bow, as it was crucial in times of war to have plenty of well-trained archers. In the US, while no lesser a personage than Ben Franklin Himself said that training in the bow might be best, it was generally recognized (and more and more so as gun technology advanced) that it was a good thing to have plenty of trained shooters on tap in case of war. So when the US became a country, the founders made it very clear that everyone (may not apply if female or POC) who wants one may have a gun because this way there would be lots of trained shooters. I personally may or may not agree with this, but this is how we got here.

A shining example is the classic, and great, Atomic Cafe the makers said the movie was a total surprise (documentaries were not the hot stuff they are today) and that they'd never have been given the access to historical materials they had then, if they were to make that movie now.

I think you may be missing a major point. Chris Hedges has noted that when a nation turns fascist, there's a great looking-back at a supposedly glorious past, and past achievements, whether real or not, and past grudges are brought up and amplified. You see the construction of statues of past ideal heroes that fit the fascists' ideals and this is seen everywhere fascism has occurred. Even in the US South, all those statues of Confederate generals that were in the news recently, Hedges notes, were all erected very recently. They were not holdovers left from the Civil War, but put up in recent times by the kind of people who are now teaching US school children that slavery was good for black people.

I go to Whole Foods, a bastion of White food culture, about once a week. I like to get something from the buffet there, and sometimes that thing is a couple of hard boiled eggs, some olives, etc. And there's no seasonings. None. At all. Not salt, not pepper, not anything. Because salt and pepper might excite animal passions or some shit. I have a secret hack though - I ask at the sushi counter for some soy sauce - it's salty.

Maybe I'm just old and crusty but I look at shows like Arthur or Bluey and on the surface it's so nice and cheerful and middle or upper-middle class, but the nice houses and new/newish cars and posh clothes and all that didn't just happen by themselves. For every wealthy Arthur or Bluey family there's a pyramid-base of poor supporting it, just in their own country and then an even larger base below that of impoverished 3rd-world people supporting the whole thing.

Really orthodox white people, suburbanites, not only don't use spices but they really only like white foods. They love chicken breasts - they don't eat chicken thighs for instance because thighs have "dark" meat and dark meat makes you dark or some shit and that makes white Aryan Jesus cry. They like mashed potatoes, cauliflower, pancakes and waffles, you get the idea. A fancy dinner might be a slice of turkey breast (a bigger, whiter, chicken) and say some cauliflower and some Tater Tots because Tater Tots are a vegetable, right? Or macaroni salad, hell that's a vegetable, it's even called salad. British white people talk about the "beige buffet" which is the ideal of white people in the UK. Writer Paul Fussell wrote years and years ago that you could never go wrong with calling a food product "mild".
