  2. When it's raining it's not too good. Mainly you need to go slow. But it's actually less bad than riding a motorcycle in the rain.

  3. Basically, 15MPH is the critical speed. Under 15MPH, accidents are minor, above it, they get bad. My own theory is that humans, running, can get up to a top speed of 15MPH so we're built to take crashes up to that speed. I've also noticed that if I hurry, or if I ride like I'm just pooping along, there's not that much difference in how fast I get where I'm going. So take it easy!

  9.  @visualpun650  Agree. In Japan there's the "Mamachar" or "Mama's chariot" which is the bicycle set up to carry groceries, the kid, etc. But then they are a civilized country.
