  3. A law of investment is “the higher the profit they promise, the higher the risk”. So if somebody offers you a 60% per month profit, there is a 99% chance that you’ll lose all the money.

  7. My solution: 1. Send the professor with the janitor across the bridge. The janitor must run as fast as he can and return back immediately after he crosses the bridge. As the janitor runs exactly twice faster, he will return back at the same moment the professor crosses the bridge (in 10 minutes). 2. Do the same with you and the lab assistant (you run back and forth, the assistant stays on the safe side). It will take another 2 minutes. 3. Cross the bridge with the janitor, it will take exactly the rest 5 minutes. The lantern is not required, the people can follow the bridge rope to know wether they are on the bridge or have crossed it already.
