  1. They have no idea what they are talking about. It's ludicrous to compare titanic Soviet-German battels of WW2 (Soviet army destroyed 80% of German military capacity in WW2) to small largely irrelevant skirmishes elsewhere. In 1941-1945 USSR fought Hitler's EU (not only Germany by far) and managed to defeat it almost singlehandedly. A remarkable achievement. By the way it's a lie that Western allies started their supplies to Russia immediately after Hitler's attack. Only when Russians proved that they would fight tooth and nail for their country (unlike France) by the end of 1941 Western allies started their supplies always behind schedule and in smaller quantities than had been agreed. Those supplies were definitely helpful, but didn't play a decisive role in a overall scheme of things. Then they spew plenty of nonsense about Soviet-Finish war. USSR was preparing for Hitler's attack and mobilizing its forces. From each division they created three new divisions dividing officers among them. It inevitably caused much confusion. Time was needed to achieve cohesion of the new force. So USSR wasn't prepared for this war and didn't want it. They would prefer peaceful resolution, but intransigence of pro-German Finish government made peace impossible. USSR needed to protect Leningrad which was very important manufacturing center, it was a must for them before imminent Hitler's attack. They finally achieved this goal and learned very important lessons for winter war of 1941. This small war was very helpful as far as vital lessons and territorial gains (which were absolutely necessary). This war should be viewed in context and not as it was presented here.
