  1. It seems that Trump is doing whatever he can to avoid having to inherit the Ukraine mess. Keeping Zelensky on his toes with random errands works great for this, since the more he's running, ranting, raging around, the crazier he looks. And the crazier Zelensky looks, the easier it is for Trump to just walk away from the conflict dumping it on EU and UK crazies lap (these loonies still are completely divorced from reality and still can't accept the obvious: The war is lost by Ukraine and it never could be won in the first place).
