In democracies there is more than one TV Channel, main political parties and main Christian denominations aren't banned, no mass extrajudicial killings, disappearances and torture, men from 18 to 60 aren't banned from leaving the country, people aren't rounded up in the streets and dragged to their death. Democracies hold elections after all. Well, it's a quote from The Time article.   2. Ukrainian generals are promoted exclusively on ideological grounds plus subservience to Zelenskyy personally. It's very difficult to talk of any accountability in a lawless place like Ukraine where people are literally kidnapped off the streets and dragged to their death. In Ukraine it's absolutely useless, for example, to officially lower conscription age. 18 year-olds are being kidnapped and beaten up until they "volunteer" without any change to the law.
