You think Gibson started making shittier aka plastic and cheap hardware, guitars because their older models lasted too long and they were not selling enough?

@johnharvey4448 Did you know they have storage containers full of diamonds because they want to keep them out of the market so they are not saturated and lose value?

Is it not possible to buy some land in America and grow and harvest your own redwood? Keeping growing so you never run out? Or will it not grow unless in tropical conditions?

Fender`s getting expensive too.....For a regular Asian/Mexican Strat that cost $250 when I was a kid in the mid 90`s is $500-600 now, and the American strats that used to be $400-500 are $800-1500 or more..... The only Strat`s and Tele`s under 300-400 are Squier now..... I used to study the Musician`s friend catalogs back in the 90s....I know the prices are ridiculous now.. I`m looking at ESP and Ibanez now because they are affordable and look amazing....
