Yes the negative for Sodium-Ion is the low energy density and the bulkier battery The advantage it’s more environmentally friendly, You get more charges per battery, Cheaper cost, , more reliable during cold weather, and we know Lithium batteries were burning up after they got flooded. I guess we will find out if that happens to Sodium-Ion batteries As last month, there are 2 companies in China who had EVs coming off the assembly line that are using Sodium-Ion batteries
