I read in the Korean war when China Intervened Chinese soldiers were given 5 days of rice at the start and some regiments had 1 rifle between 5 guys And the real reason their offensive stalled (after the US Army longest retreat in history) Was when the UN forces dug into the high ground. And where UN forces could focus the Air/Naval and Ground superiority As the Chinese had to carry in supplies by foot from China. If they were lucky by "bicycle" (peddle powered not motorcycle)
