In 2018 when trump started the trade vvar America wasn’t projected to have rare earth refining ability until 2022 (they finally got that ability last year in 2023) So the Chinese had a trade wea pon that had a finite shelf life of 4 years (at the time) Yet the Chinese didn’t use it Where they were lowering tariffs to most other countries instead
