The Digital Yuan is the backup where the capital flees to safety, when the sheet hits the fan That's if the Chinese even want people selling their currency to buy the Yuan That would make their Chinese exports more expensive But in a scenario of a defaulting USA on their debt they may have no choice One clear indicator is if and when the Chinese allow their Yuan to free float
