@tonysu8860 well obviously…. same can be said about the USA Every University in the USA isn’t a Ivy League school Just from the numbers alone most of these Chinese students are not going to a Ivy but just a regular university/college in the USA

@What.7777 it probably really depends on if these Chinese students plan go back to China or not If they plan to stay out in the west those western degrees would hold a lot more weight Head back to China these days…. 👇 Chinese graduates lament Western degrees no longer a fast track for top jobs As Chinese universities climb up world rankings, Western degrees are not as prized by employers as they once were, according to overseas graduates Hiring departments are often more familiar with elite Chinese universities and certain professions require strong local networks, young jobseekers say Nov, 2021 SCMP

@tonysu8860 You have been brainwashed 👇 Why was China erased from Western memory The remarkable history of Chinese invention - Why was China erased from Western memory? Article by 龙信明 Introduction Joseph Needham was an English medical doctor and biologist, teaching in England in the 1930s. By an accident of fate he acquired some Chinese students, and was intrigued to hear their claims of so many medical and scientific discoveries having originated in China, rather than in the West. Needham became fully fluent in Chinese, and eventually moved to China in 1942 to investigate these claims and to research the entire history of Chinese invention. That work led to an astonishing voyage of historical discovery. Needham originally planned to write a book cataloguing Chinese inventions, but his first volume barely scratched the surface of his subject. He slowly gatherred many of his students into this enterprise, and they eventually wrote a collection of 26 books, to catalog the history of Chinese discovery. Myth and Misrepresentation It leaves one speechless to learn the vast extent of things invented by the Chinese many hundreds of years, and often several millennia, before they appeared in the West. @tonysu8860 very brainwashed 👇 IP Theft Is What Once Helped Make America Great That was certainly the case for the United States. The practice of grabbing intellectual property was a staple of U.S. economic strategy since the outset of the nation’s founding. The play Hamilton has brought new and deserved respect to the first secretary of the treasury. But his many economic achievements should not blind us to the fact that theft of intellectual property was a linchpin of his manufacturing strategy. RealClearMarkets

@tonysu8860 Wake-Up Call': China Leads in 37 Out of 44 Critical Technology Sectors, Says Report The Australian Strategic Policy Institute has pointed out that only seven of the 44 technologies analysed by its report are currently led by a democratic country, 'and that country in all instances is the US.' The Wire Staff Mar 09, 2023 New Delhi: China is far ahead of even the United States in conducting cutting-edge research in most critical technologies, especially in defence, space and security, a new report by a top Australian think tank has found. In the report published on March 2, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute shows that China has “built the foundations to position itself as the world’s leading science and technology superpower, by establishing a sometimes stunning lead in high-impact research across the majority of critical and emerging technology domains”. @coliv2 There is now a “27” book series on what China invented that says we stole or copied from China But we have had a Eurocentric view of things these last few hundred years 👇 Why was China erased from Western memory The remarkable history of Chinese invention - Why was China erased from Western memory? Yeah but then they come back to a country where Their western views and western education is valued less Be better for them to stay in the USA where they are marginalized But they can at least do better than the American students

If western education was better the Chinese would not be leading in 37 of 44 critical technologies of the future

@stvdmc2011 unfortunately not anymore be better if they just stayed in the west with their western education that they paid for. They are going to need a western finance job to get back the money they put into that education

@mizzypoo4827 well obviously if their kid can’t make it into a Chinese university they send them to a Western/American School The problem is for people like me born and raised in a western Country Where we are getting to a stage That’s overpriced education they are paying for Is in a country where we have to lock up toothpaste less it get stolen Or have the police tell its citizens to place their car keys near the front door So when someone breaks into your home to steal your car. They won’t have to confront you to steal your car Life isn’t exactly better here these days As they will probably have to stay and work here to pay off what they put into that overpriced education
