He is clearly expressing the fact the USA has built the factories but does not have the graphite to build the batteries If you are talking synthetically made graphite factories, then it's going to cost more, which is fine if you block those Chinese exports or they refuse to sell to you. So you Americans pay more. Since tge average American can afford to pay more for things these days

  2. Just wait until the factories start making money... The environmental protestor will come out. And the workers will feel entitled to endless pay raises. If it becomes fully automated. Companies like this will get huge tax breaks. If any tax at all and these companies will stash their profits outside the country. Or stick it into share buybacks
