A lot of older people follow this line of thinking where “people don’t want to work anymore or invest in themselves doing education and degrees and certificates to help themselves.” The issue is people and kids don’t want to to waste their lives working and investing in themselves and spending all that money only to still struggle to pay their bills and not be much better off than they were before dumping money on things like education and certificates and all those extras.
