Comments by "KNRS927" (@KNRS927) on "Vice President Kamala Harris grilled on pivotal issues as election nears on 'Special Report'" video.
Kamala kept saying I’ll get to it on the first question, and he literally didn’t want a word salad as he knew she wouldn’t get to it. He wanted you to answer the question the way your kid would answer “10*10” on a Math test. Just a number or range, nothing more, and an explanation after with your thoughts. Just like typical politicians, she never answers questions but for her, it’s more noticeable. It’s just this time for once, the host wasn’t in her favor so she couldn’t get away dodging questions and it not being noticed.

@AndorranStairway if it was ever me, I would legit on an interview with a politician ask them a simple math question, or show them a paper with the answer and be like “you see how this is answered? I want you answering my questions exactly like this. No word salad, just a “yes or no” with an explanation or a number, and that’s it.

@AndorranStairway The presidency is also about being a president for all, including people who don’t have a college degree, an advanced vocabulary, and aren’t the smartest people. You aren’t appealing to that crowd when you turn a simple answer into a word salad. Presidential decisions are also case by case, not everything requires a word salad that’s scripted, and it’s about acting accordingly. A simple question like that only requires a simple answer, and nothing more. It’s also about thinking on your feet, and answering every question as if you have a script to read from does little to show you can think on your feet. Given how she struggles with these interviews where the moderator is not on her side as every debate has happened on her terms, she very clearly also can’t think on her feet. Acting as if you need to overcomplicate something that doesn’t need to be complicated and everything is the same case just because “it’s more than just yes or no” is just asinine.

@AndorranStairway that’s the problem with you. You think everything has to be complicated for the sake of it when it doesn’t have to. An interview is different than a freaking cuban missile crisis or bankrupting the Soviet Union. It’s about talking and pitching why you’re better. And if you want to pitch why you’re better, you should be able to appeal to everyone, including people who need you to talk in a way that even a 15 year old can understand. Maybe that’s why Trump has become so popular. Everything is case by case. And in this case, she didn’t have to go off on her typical “we have a broken system” as if we need to watch this interview to know that lol. We don’t need you to state the obvious, we need you to answer the questions and explain why you’re better. And we’ll, she didn’t do that. And also, Trump has always dealt with biased moderators who love to fact check anything he says and never do for Kamala. Just for once, she got to experience that and a host who wouldn’t tolerate her dodging questions.
