The irony behind everything you said is that literally all mainstream car companies are doing that. Toyota has a total of 6 crossovers on sale. Honda has 4 on sale. Chevy has a total of 5 crossovers excluding their EVs. Everyone is building a million crossovers as that's what people want. As for the Pathfinder, everyone is building a 3 row crossover SUV and Nissan didn't have one, so they made the Pathfinder one. Ford did the same thing to the Explorer, removing the frame and turning it into a crossover and the result is that the Explorer was the best-selling 3 crow crossover in 2024. Honda and Toyota all use CVTs. All automakers have removed manuals almost entirely or only have them for base models. Nissan has literally just been putting efforts into what actually sells based on the numbers and not what few car enthusiasts or people posting on the internet say they want and then nobody will buy it.

@ everyone has lol. When he criticizes Nissan for turning the pathfinder into a unibody, he forgets that ford did the exact same thing to the explorer just a couple years earlier, in fact, and the explorer was the best-selling 3 row crossover in 2024. Nobody buys manual cars in general anymore so that’s why they’re going, and everyone is killing them.
