  6. Yea about the gish gallop... they were almost all doing that. Just rattle off a lot of points when talking quickly. Legitimately unable to debate. And just irrelevant points in general. Yea it's interesting to see how they think but it's also clear why it is completely impossible to convince these people themselves by talking. It probably helps them looking bad in a video like this, but 1 on 1, almost impossible this way.

  7. Bill Burr is one of the few with an actual platform who still is kicking against power. Might not always have a leftist position, but definitely is someone who the left should see as ally.

  10. Lol what a BS. I have seen this stuff play out and generally people just argue against them because it is generally just not a very logical argument. And people are willing to argue about it 1 on 1 about it if you feel uncomfortable in class. I have also said dumb shit in class and the ngot a bit ashamed for being shut down with arguments lol. It teached me to be a bit more intellectually humble. Something that these families don't teach each other.

  11. No, Sam just wants to have a discussion on what to do at that point in October. You aren't changing her programme but you know what might be coming with Trump. What do you do then? So trying to discuss what other people should have done differently, is completely unproductive. And people getting mad at someone like Sam for discussing this while knowing he is completely serious about this stuff, is just weak and needlessly defensive. And this show understands it's position. They actively decided that they can't be shitting too much even when they aren't exactly fans, because they know that they might have helped Trump win.
