  1. I learned early on drilling head bolts and such thst using a cordless drill with a clutch is not good. When it hits resistance it stops and possibly damage the hole. I use a corded drill with no clutch or you can use an air drill. Alsonits lot easier when drilling and tapping a dead hole rather than a ln open one, the bottom of the hole stops the insert and usually is tappered a bit to stop the bolt. All in all you did great
