  1. The newer models of the Xterra and Pathfinder with the 4.0 liter engine were a great improvement of these older ones. I have been in the guts of the 4.0 and it's 100 times easier, roomier and none of this nonsense parts over parts, wiring everywhere, plugs everywhere, plus no belt, chain. Yeah, this one is a mess.
