Now THAT'S a car review I appreciate.
55
Solid engine, have it on my 2009 Camry XLE with 176K miles. Regular maintenance only.

I replaced many struts on many cars for friends and family. I refuse to mess with springson struts, I buy the whole assembly ready to go. Faster, easier, and most likely need both replaced.

I used small stubby 12mm wrench to take the bolts off the front after getting them loose, took forever but didn't need to mess with the subframe
3
Thatβs why I always, ALWAYS, replace the whole damn thing together as an assembly. One new set per 100K miles. No worries. Did my 09 Camry 4 struts with spring assemblies at 120K easy peasy.

So what you're saying you can burn a Toyota transmission if you try hard enough lol.

Is it me or does this look so kuch like a Toyota 2.4 and 2.5 engine with direct injection? Down to the buckets over the valve springs

Thank you, I have a 2018 Forte and the major parts I can see but the smaller parts you helped me identify and locate.

@speedkar99 I have a heater core on an 03 Camry that must have been super glued in. π I am not even sure taking the heater box box out will do anything, doesn't seem like there is an access other than sliding it out even with the heater box out. I hate it. π.

My brother has one and him and his family love it. He keeps it well maintained. However, I wouldn't volunteer to do work on it as I do on his other cars. I may do brakes, oils and such but suspension? That seems too complicated for a DIY.

Tear down, it's beyond saving

@speedkar99 well, do the flush and see if it helps, it may. Do some diagnosis to see if ita an electronics issue, I doubt it. Then you can tear it down. That's 3 videos, more fun and money

Attention viewers. Never ever ever ever try to remove the head bolts on ANY Toyota without that special socket. Did I say never ever? Don't try to match, dont try to guess. It's $13 or a $1300 at a machine shop, you choose. Oh, always clean the bolt head COMPLETELY before putting the socket and tap the socket in gently to seat it in. If you don't the head will round off and you're screwed

I like these reviews, although other reviewes go over features this does what I want to know. How easy to fix? Where the heck everything? Mechanical information, not just how the info system looks π.
