Ive just returned from Russia and Putin has never been more popular so not sure how this would be a likely scenario.

Putin wasn’t in power during the 1st Chechen war. Back to history class for you.

Except the Russian economy is growing as Western economies collapse. Have you looked at your gas bill lately?

@brynleytalbot778 Yeah but we didn’t arm and train the Soviet Union to do those things did we. You do understand the moral difference with arming Ukrainian Nazis and going on about the old Soviet Union, now defunct, don’t you?

Nonsense. Russia is simply interested in de-Nazification of Ukraine, having a buffer from NATO expansionism and protecting ethnic Russians in the Donbas. They’ve been quite clear about that from the start. I live in Taiwan and what has emerged from the Ukrainian war is a new attitude that young Taiwanese now feel they don’t want to fight Woke War Three against China on Americas behalf. Which is probably why pro Chinese parties scored 49% 0f popular vote. Don’t be played.

A weakened Russia with no allies? Apart from 80% of the Worlds population. You need to get out more, not everyone wants to be an American you know.

Recruitment is a problem, as is retention. Nobody wants to back self declared Nazis in the Ukraine apart from those who have no idea of the history behind the conflict. And no one in their right mind wants to fight Woke War Three against China to reinvigorate Americas failing economy. The thing is I suspect America would be quite prepared to have a limited Nuclear exchange in Europe or indeed Asia, before they got hit they’d suddenly sue for peace and then step in to rebuild what was left. Thus ensuring their economic dominance well into the next century. Don’t be played people they’ve pulled this stunt before.
