  1. I did some hiking in Turkmenistan with my girlfriend in 2014. There the locals feed you, house you and drive you around (great distances out of their way) and will not accept a penny for their kindness no matter how much you try to repay them. Quite humbling really.

  4.  @fisherman5517  Not only good but vital, as it’s part of the glue that holds us all together. Maybe I lived the best of days in the 70s and 80s when one chatted up women in pubs, could have a cigarette and a pint whilst reading a newspaper that at least tried to grasp reality. I do want the same for future generations.

  6. I have worked in Africa on and off for 20 years. Every single African I have met without exception wants to come to the UK. I’m moving there full time to get away from them…chortle
