@Rosskles the time something relatively random like an earthquake occurs is the same as the mechanism by which it occurs? That’s interesting science.

@Rosskles if that were true, it would be possible to predict every single seismic event in advance. It isn’t. There is a key element of unpredictability which cannot be accounted for accurately or reliably.

@Rosskles I heard you the first time. It was science fiction then too. Let me repeat, it’s impossible to predict random events.

@Rosskles we still can’t reliably, completely predict weather. We can’t reliably and with 100% accuracy predict the exact time it will rain, can we? We can make good, educated guesses that may be be broadly correct but just a few days of exposure to a British summer will prove that 100% reliable accuracy is not possible. Similarly, we cannot predict other natural events with such accuracy, including seismic ones. There is an unpredictable element that will always, always be there.
