@beardman6300 doesn’t change much. The cop’s still suspended and is under criminal investigation. It turns out that public servants are not allowed to exact revenge on the spot, even if they got their backsides handed to them by two guys. There are higher standards in place for armed officers after Wayne Couzens, remember him?

@beardman6300 What the two young men did was also not right. I don’t condone it. I don’t buy in to this idea that female officers are any more a victim than a male officer. An officer is an officer. We don’t have WPCs anymore. Every officer knows the risks in their job. And in their job, they unfortunately may face violence. They are well trained for this and they accept that risk. And actually it was the offending officer who was beaten the most and it was he who also stamped on the lad’s head. He was trying to salvage some pride after being bested, but he did the opposite in the end. There will never be an acceptable defence to stamping on a semi-conscious man’s head. That’s why this officer will never serve again. And I think there was only one female colleague and two male officers, three in all. He didn’t have concussion, he was moving fine and his legs clearly worked well. The young lad had a much stronger case for concussion
