  4. So what you’re saying is Israel has a magic free pass to do what is wants, where it wants, a pass that literally no one else has and that if they did, Israel would be in big trouble?

  5.  betty4018  Radical Islamic extremism is relatively modern concept which Israel pre-dates by decades. And even if what you are saying is true, then all of the lives Isreal have lost have been in the service of US against ‘radical Islamic extremism’ without their consent or knowledge. And since the Middle East is overwhelmingly Muslim, why does the US care about extremism there? Makes no sense at all. It’s a weak and illogical argument. However you describe this, it’s unnatural, immoral, illegal, super-expense for the US taxpayer (who has no choice) and WILL ultimately fail because Isreal can’t fight and Hamas has shown a lot of grit. If the US joins in, that will open the door for Muslim countries, many of whom are aligned with Russia and China, and one of whom (Pakistan) has nukes. It’s simply not worth it for the US in the long term. It’s time to cut the cord and let Israel strike out alone. US support of Isreal is totally unsustainable on every level.
