  29.  @ladyfallon not a fair comparison. You also need to consider alcohol-related deaths such as drink driving, violent arguments and domestic violence. Then there’s alcohol related health issues which are very common and which may themselves not be fatal, but cause significant morbidity and drain on state healthcare resources. Alcohol is also one factor in developing certain types of cancer. Both vices are bad for you in different ways.
