Identikit town centres in this country. They're all the same.

it wasn't just the internet ( although I agree it was a large part. ) I tour a lot with bands so I see a lot of the towns in the UK and how they've changed over the last 30 odd years. Basically the town centres became identical copies of each other, you now have chains of shops like WHSmith, Claire's Accessories ( now bankrupt ) H&M, Primark, Topshop. M&S etc. etc. and so many betting shops everywhere and they're all identical. Like, everywhere. And then there's the industrial estate shopping centres, again identical. These chains have pushed out small businesses and shops. I mean, who even wants to shop in a places like this.

@hilaryporter7841 A vote for the independents or Greens is a vote for the Tories.

@TheDoosh79 You want things to change though, to do this we first get rid of the Tories.
3
@TheDoosh79 they absolutely won't change if you vote Tory. That you can guarantee.

@os3990 It has.

@britnatzaredemocracydenier5922 Scotland has a lot of the same issues.

Great video again. I live in Queens Park, all I'm seeing is high end properties going up and house prices and rents rising so fast that the poor ( and now the middle class ) are being displaced from this area. On another note: Have you changed your mic though Gary, it's sounding boxy and a bit distorted. Source: I'm a sound engineer.

Local businesses have been pushed out by chains over the last few decades. A lot of them aren't there any more to support.

@terrorbilly1 Charity shops ( here in London ) now have vinyl specialists who price things, thing is though you're guaranteed they'll be keeping the best bits to flip themselves.

@TheDoosh79 No it 's not. You want things to change right? Then we need to start by first getting rid of the Tories. The only way to get rid of them in our first past the post, two party political system is to tactically vote for Labour. End of. Anything else, at present, is just a wasted vote.
