@SarahWalker-Smith I observe, watch and read many different viewpoints from markets, to politics to macroeconomics thanks. We're nowhere near as bad as what's happening in the US right now. Period. What's happening there is complete chaos. We ever get someone like Farrage in power here and all that may change though.

Are you seriously saying MP's don't do any work and have never worked outside of politics.

@SarahWalker-Smith. I do.

There are actually many economic models that take poverty into account.

MMT and especially excessive government spending could lead to inflation or even hyperinflation. Whilst some aspects of MMT have been used in countries during crisis ( Japan, Argentina and the US Covid response has some elements of MMT for example ) No country has ever fully implemented it. It would be a massive risk. And if it failed....¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't agree with Murphy on a lot of things to be honest, but the only way Trump makes any sense what-so -ever is if you frame it as him ( or someone close to him ) working with/for Russia. No other explanation makes sense.

It's utter nonsense to compare the UK to what's going on on the US right now. Trump is just completely out of control.

@kevinsyd2012 There arn't enough jobs to force people into work. I think you'll also find that most unemployed don't actually want to be unemployed. Unless, of course, you get your rhetoric from the Daily Mail.
