You're conveniently talking about this like the UK is isolation here, meanwhile rising US Treasury yields have created ripple effects right across global bond markets and our own bond markets are susceptible to this. Can you imagine how much worse this would be however if the Gov tried to fix our economy by buying bonds. Sound familiar here? Ironically your idea Mr Murphy probably would have just tanked us.
