@ why shouldn't they, because it pushed the price of housing though the roof that's why, all to appease a voting demographic. Also are you really trying to say that people on benefits do very nicely here. I mean, that's straight out the Daily Mail playbook of utter nonsense tbh.

Pensioners are the group who have done the best out of anyone over the last few decades.
11
Nonsense.
3
@garethjones433 Are you actually suggesting that leaving the EU has been a good thing? What benefits are you seeing here?
2
@growler5678 I know what is actually going on thanks. Do you?
2
@growler5678 Do you know who's advising Labour on their economics policies at present for example, have you read that persons papers on Wage stagnation and productivity Growth, or maybe Liam Bryne's excellent book on the inequality of wealth. Or looked into what's going on in the ( worldwide ) Markets. Or even spoken to any Labour MP's and asked them what they think? Saying you hate based on populism is not the way forward here.
2
@growler5678 Not really. I'd just rather see this government succeed than Reform get anywhere near a position of power here. What's your excuse?
2
@growler5678 OK so you're a Reform voter. No, I have FA to say to you really. Maybe the nonsense will have died down in 4 years time though. Good luck with the hate really.
2
Labour and Reeves are advised by a team based around John Van Reenen who's actually an LSE Phd graduate Professor of economics and one of the best economists of his kind anywhere . Much of his published work is around the UK’s chronically weak productivity growth and I'm pretty sure his team know a little but more about this than you do Mr Murphy. But you keep playing the same "they dont' know what they're doing" cards. Let's see how this all pans out eh.
2
@Hickalum They are though. It's not something that can just be instantly fixed overnight though. Years of low productivity, stagnant wages and inequality can't just be magically fixed in a few months regardless of what anyone says.
2
Wrong.
2
@ No, not at all. Maybe do a little research on John Van Reenen, the LSE economics PhD professor behind the machine here. Maybe read some of his papers, get some insight.
2
@kimspence-jones4765 John Van Reenen is in a completely different league to Murphy he doesn't need to blog. There was actually a good article on him in the Guardian recently if you look it up. ( obviously I can't link here )
2
Utter nonsense. FFS get a grip.
2
Nonsense.
2
The decisions to go mostly Nuclear should have been made decades ago but were, at the time, halted by public opinion and sentiment.
2
Why , because of channels like this one telling you to hate them?
1
Their economics adviser is quite capable.
1
@kimspence-jones4765 You can't have researched very hard.
1
It feels.
1
@imagecollections6665 This is not true at all.

@ There is actually a gov roadmap for the biggest expansion of nuclear power for 70 years. ( can't link here which is annoying ) It'll take us from 4 to 24GW. Nuclear plants take years to build though so we're talking 2050 here.
