@asumazilla The Lords are not voted in by the public. Nor should they be.

@asumazilla The lords should not be put to a popular vote. Some things should change for sure ( the name for one ) get rid of hereditary peers and Bishops but life peers should be appointed on merit, achievements, and the diversity of expertise ( as they already are ) but not a public vote.

@scottyfive4319 There should be some political appointees. I mean, who better to know and understand the system than those who have been though it. The Lords should be right across the board really as a proper system of checks and balances. Although I think it should be renamed to something like the "upper chamber"

@budawang77 I don't believe there should be mandatory voting the UK like Aus . It'd be used as a protest vote here and we all know where that could lead.

@benjaminford9932 Well sure, that needed to be addressed as somewhat has been ( although it's not a large number or vast number as people have said here ) but that's not my argument, my argument is that they should not be publicly voted for.
