@Build_Secrets It is a tax on rich landowners, it closes down a huge tax loophole. It just needs administrating properly. Sure the rich are going to argue that it's regressive and will do the opposite of what's needed, they want it shut down.

@seewhatifound Agreed. Labour have sought wealth from rich landowners and yet they get attacked for it because said rich landowners can shout louder than anyone else. People want change here, but they don't want to support it when it happens. Honestly this country is a parody of itself.

@Build_Secrets I know a family with a ton of land, a huge hall and a wedding reception business who are definitely not farmers yet are going ape and protesting this, sure. What you're hearing here, as per anything Labour is trying to do at present, is a ton of noise from the rich who absolutely do not want to pay their way and are swinging the rhetoric their way.

Shareholders are abandoning the UK. Way more money to be made in US stocks now. Trouble is though that they take $billions of investment capital with them.

@leejohnson3209 And I disagree with you. Murphy is a disgruntled Corbynite with an axe to grind. His solutions are pie in the sky.

Hydrogen is a carrier, not an energy source.
2
@petebateman143 Richard is not the answer to everything you know. Lol.
2
He tried, and failed.
2
@Redf322 He was the person who wrote Corbynomics, possibly destined to take a senior role in Labour’s shadow Treasury team if Corbyn had taken power. Didn't happen. Now I'm not been funny but if that isn't cause to grind an axe against those who did get in then I don't know what is.
2
Especially with channels like this one driving the sentiment.
1
@leejohnson3209 I didn't' say that at all. Here's the thing though, the hard left are just as damaging as the hard right.
1
@CuriousCrow-mp4cx You do realise that Murphy was the guy behind Corbynomics and that Corbyn lost. And that this fact has a bearing on what he's saying and the incessant attacks against the current Labour government right? You do get this?
1
@CuriousCrow-mp4cx Look up who Murphy actually is in relation to Corbyn then. Seems you have no clue.
1
As opposed to Murphy, actually from accounts. 🤣
1
@st200ol I suppose it makes more sense than batteries. How efficient is this process though?
1
Growth has not just suddenly disappear because of Labour.
1
@petebateman143 "You don;t listen to Richard much do you? " Which implies that you do.
1
@Redf322 It is what it is.

Labour came into office inheriting an absolutely mess left by the Tories, that's what happened. Murphy wants us to believe there are quick and easy fixes to this, the reality is there isn't. No idea where this leaves us though but channels like this one slating Labour 24/7 ( and they've been at it since the day Labour took power ) are going to leave a nice open vacuum for the far right to just waltz in come the next election. And then we're really in the shi!t. It actually doesn't matter what Reeves does though, you'll still find ways to belittle it like an incessant jack Russel continuously biting ankles. So great, well done. Enjoy your sentiment.

@Build_Secrets Do you have any proof that this will cause hard working farmer to sell their land because this is exactly the kind of noise the wealthy would put out there to cover their backs.
1
@malcolm8564 The EU are doing this, idiots in this country voted to leave that system.
1
Corbyn would have been a disaster for this country.
1
@markwelch3564 Did I say that?
1
@markwelch3564 100% confident. I went to a few Labour party meetings in West London area when the party was completely split, the hard left were clueless.
1
@markwelch3564 By implication no. And yes, I'm 100% confident Corbyn would have been a disaster for this country.
