  1. It has been said that Northern European peoples in times long past developed the propensity to "plan for the future" because of the harsh climate and conditions. They moved from the hunter/gatherer to the farmer and beyond over a quick period. All planning for the harsh winters and harsher conditions. Africa on the other hand kept hold of its hunter gatherer traditions for much much longer because of the nomadic nature of that existence and an abundance of food to hunt and gather at all times by and large. This could be diluted down in today's nomenclature as "cultural" difference.
