I note Lyndsey Hoyle speaker of the house has allowed MPs to bring their babies into work. We are told this is a necessity for the MPs to do their job. I disagree as a bloke who has 2 kids and always made the best attempts at keeping childcare continuous as required. This is mainly because I wouldnt be able to adequately concentrate at work let alone mentioned that I would not be allowed this privilege. Of course theres much more here under the bonnet regarding womens rights at work.

@stephfoxwell4620 this is a great point actually. I really feel the whole Stella Creasey babygate incident has been cooked up in labours back room to make some point that seems ridiculous to make in a modern workplace. It's almost as if they are trying to show they care about womens issues on the one hand yet poop on women when placed alongside "trans rights".

@dianeparker5993 I heard some twonky lefty defending all of this earlier on radio, the most solid thing she could say was that "MPs only have to give a short speech during which the presence of baby wouldnt disrupt proceedings" is she essentially saying that the named MP only has to do her job for her constituents in parliament for 20mins? Is there not a responsibility to listen to other MPs or perhaps perform some other roles during a working day?
