  3. I see this also, my wife is a nurse lecturer in a large midlands university. She teaches 1800 nurses every year split into 3 groups of 600. I saw the nominal list of the most recent intake. A little more than 75% of the names were of recognisably African and South Asian names. This is slightly more difficult with Caribbean names so no doubt the number I've given is lower than the real number. She tells me also that out of the 600 odd from the last winter intake, 170 who registered and attended the first lecture just disappeared from the course and werent heard from again. So where did they go? She also has the unfortunate position of having to deal with the problems they bring with them in terms of "student welfare", I could make a book about the things that come to her door here. She could pull her hair out, because at some point she has to find time to teach these idiots how to be a nurse.
