@oldboygeorge7688 Dont know about this "we" you speak of here. "We did this" "We did that". Dont make me laugh. My ancestors worked tin and coal mines, as far back as any record goes. Most of them died young and I'm damn sure their lives were little better than any black persons perhaps worse. I'm fair sure the vastest majority of people in the UK had similar ancestry. Perhaps your ancestry may differ and wish to apply guilt, if so, do it for yourself and speak for yourself instead of the "We" you speak of.

Bang on, I had a conversation with one of the younger lads in the Navy a few years ago before I retired. The general gist was "britain bad" i dont particularly remember the whole argument. It came to the subject of the I'll treatment of black people. I told him almost exactly what you said here, that whatever else, the people chose to come here of their own free will and can return anytime they like.
