  1. I work in the NHS, im about to go on a 13 hour night shift now, i could write essays here. Its enough to say that the place is a pit of misery, rudderless useless dangerous and spiteful management, overwhelmed with the detritus of the 3rd world both as patients and colleagues. Its changed utterly in the 25 years ive been associated with it, as a military practioner and then as a civilian on retirement. It is governed by the axiom "acceptable mediocrity" as i have come to know it.
