  5. Referendum indeed! The 2004 amendment to the Irish constitution referendum was all about asking people what they wanted in regards to immigration. 80% voted that Irish Citizenship should only be given to babies born on the island of Ireland to parents who held irish Citizenship. The irish government just passed legislation through its cabinet and bypassed the whole amendment and now hand out citizenship like ciggies at a social club. Thats what referendum calling gets you. I wont even mention the 2016 brexit one. 😂
