The founding fathers hated the idea of the supposed 'mob' having a say in their own government ie; democracy... let's not forget that most of those men who created the Declaration of Independence (from Britain) were of a British mentality and wealthy land owners, it's always been about maintaining power in the hands of the educated and wealthy which is why you've lived in the illusion of a Democracy. But anyway, the Patriot Act put your former Bill of Rights with it's fair and honorable rules of law in the garbage heap thanks to the Neoliberal coup d'etat we're living right now.... and they've been lawless Fascists ever since.
